I had no idea what a blog was, or how to get one started when I signed up for this class. I enjoyed reading the text provided, which provided direction and valuable writing/reporting information. I also enjoyed exploring each classmate’s blogs, as this gave me an opportunity to compare my work with others that focused on the same topic.
What I found frustrating was the wait time for grades to be posted and questions to be answered. As an educator, I realize comments and responses to students takes time, but in an ideal world, homework would be turned in on time by everyone and returned simultaneously. I can’t help but think it would be nice to live in that ideal world.
While taking this class, I learned something important things from the professor: Writing isn’t always about how you write, but rather what you choose to write about. When the writer is forced to find and report on a specific topic, what you choose to write about should have some personal connection.
I have enjoyed the professors comments on each of my blog assignments and am happy to have provided that interesting twist to the class because of the location I was writing in. Thank you for the opportunity to share my stories.
